I used to write fake 1950s ballads—one was titled “Ora che sto per tirare le cuoia,” which ended up as the B-side of the single. Faust’o liked me, so he joined us at the Polygram studios in October 1981, and after a week we presented the finished work to the label’s management (KOKA RECORS), who weren’t very satisfied with the result, especially the B-side, which Faust’o had stripped of all instruments so that it practically relied only on an electric bass line and my voice… very experimental.
