But if I have to choose between Crime and TESTORS, I have no doubt about the latter. In NY they were the start of punk... without having released anything. The tour with the Dead Boys became legend.

With the Ramones, Television and the Heartbreakers at CBGB and Max’s Kansas City... but the TESTORS WERE MORE, EVERYTHING... MORE, like their line-up... a trio without a bass.

More Rock, wilder, tougher, more dramatic, more stripped-down and intense at the same time. From the school of the Detroit Sound to which the leader SONNY VINCENT was devoted—one of the purest ever, with no doubts in using that noble adjective—to Jimi's guitar, to primitive English garage... everything rawer, more excessive, dangerous... enough to make you cry from the energy they conveyed... and still convey.

Then the compilations came out... decades later. But never success.

But who cares, these guys made History without any help, actually... they really made it. That kind of history that’s not about numbers, but about energy conveyed and lived beyond all limits...
