Our government, for years at the forefront on the front of assholery (see the concentration camp, Nazi too, created in Albania), screams its own silence on the Middle Eastern issue, convinced that Italy is not part of that context, when it is clear that we belong culturally to the Mediterranean far more than we do to Northern Europe—so much so that our political models unfortunately have nothing of Northern Europe about them.
The ridiculousness of the harmful Meloni, protesting only when the Israelis shoot at a Christian church, is matched only by her social uselessness.
All demonstrations in support of the suffering of the Palestinian people at the hands of the state of Israel are passed off as a pro-Hamas policy, the ridiculous excuse of anti-Semitism authorizes any politician to be an asshole.
These governments and their fucking Christian roots are wiping their asses with compassion and love for others.
The consequence is that the statements I read and see from artists and journalists are tender naiveties, because not only have they not prevented a single death, they have decreed the impotence of individuals faced with the immense weight of the global Sovereign Authority.
Simple people love to repeat the platitude: “We live in the age of communication.”
