This piece by Antonina Bracciatoniche might seem sappy, cheesy, useless, and whatever.
Instead, it’s wonderful, in its uselessness.
I know it because a baby DJ just starting out asked me (paying me, savasandir) to sample this "solo" and the intro of a Backstreet Boys track whose title I now can’t remember... "I Do It My Way" or something like that... to "mix" his DJ set or whatever the hell it's called.
He recorded it with a real microphone placed near my 1981 Fender Acoustic, which I still own.
Well, everyone knows that I — after aálazzio — HATE DJs.
But he added a bunch of effects that when I heard what he did, I didn’t recognize myself.
I’ve played in recording studios, obviously, many times: but that cheeky kid pulled off something I didn’t know I could do.
The moral of the story?
If you can’t play, no one asks to sample you. volte:
