But does anyone still remember what happened a little over 100 years ago, today? Before they change our history books, it would be good to remember that it was the last moment in history when the path of popular masses (two-millennia-long, mind you: from the Gracchi onward) from exploitation toward freedom saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Then they will talk to you about the crimes committed in its name... as if we, belonging to the 'liberal' world, are responsible for the crimes of the Roman Emperors of the East and West, of the Lords of Feudalism, of the Napoleonic Wars, etc.
