The Doors 04 Backdoor Man Absolutely Live

The revelation of what is to come happens on October 20, 1967, at the University of Michigan during a concert by the Doors. The Los Angeles band has just unleashed a devastating one-two punch with their self-titled album and Strange Days.

Not exactly a quiet concert in Ann Arbor... one of many, perhaps among the first where Jim(bo) “killed” the audience.

Iggy, in the crowd, is thrilled by what he is hearing and... seeing.

I thought: these guys are number one in America. If he can do that, maybe I can do it too... I can’t wait any longer.”

Shortly after that concert, Iggy forms a band with the Asheton brothers and Dave Alexander...

The rest is (another) history...
