"Isadora Duncan"- Vic Chesnutt

Vic dedicated a piece to her... probably as his “friend”, also a heroine of solitude and despair, of misfortune.

ISADORA DUNCAN revolutionized dance, made it... BEAUTIFUL!

Ahead of her time, rebellious, courageous, and unlucky like few others. Four husbands, the last one 18 years younger than her, three children from three different men. Her first two children drowned in the Seine following a tragic yet grotesque “accident”: the driver stepped out to restart the car with the hand crank, didn't engage the handbrake and the car slid into the Seine with the two little ones, ages 3 and 7, and the governess. She wants another child, meets an Italian, becomes pregnant but the baby is stillborn. She starts drinking and gets into all sorts of trouble. She even becomes the subject of ridicule because she has visibly gained weight...

SHE, elegance personified through dance...

She goes to France abandoned by everyone. On September 4, 1927, the last tragicomic twist of fate. A wild life marked by events that seem like jokes if they weren’t so dramatic. She accepts a ride from her pilot friend Benoit Falchetto. Bids farewell to her friends once more with optimism and hope, who knows, maybe things will turn around...

I would say no... Her long scarf gets caught in the rear wheel spokes of the Bugatti...
She dies by strangulation... the final twist...
