He says that in the eighties music was all rubbish. Eeeeeeeeeehhhhhh!!!
Before the well-deserved recognition as a composer, then before Steve McQueen and Glory (?), there was this strange, crooked thing, with a reserved lateral twist, that seems to shield the fabulous melodic taste of Paddy McAloon.
A debut with few elements, but all aimed at creating a unique artistic result, not only regarding their discography; the place where the bass (which Memmy likes a lot) of Martin McAloon (if you look at recent photos, he looks like Daevid Allen) is present as it never will be again, when the levels balance out to create the Perfect Pop Disco of the Eighties, a year later.
Swoon embarrasses me because if I had to choose what I like most, I would say Everything.
