In complete silence, an Italian, from Sardinia, has accomplished a monumental feat.
After 120 days at sea, he has completed a solo circumnavigation of the globe, sailing without assistance!
Sailing all the way to La Coruña with his boat "Vento di Sardegna" and thus winning the "Global Solo Challenge 23/24", after overcoming difficulties of all kinds, repairing every type of malfunction, spending sleepless nights with 9-meter waves and winds over 40 knots, he has navigated in the Indian Ocean, the Pacific, and the Atlantic, passing by the Cape of Good Hope and the legendary Cape Horn!
All of this, always with a hint of a smile!
We thank Andrea for bringing Italy and Sardinia into the pantheon of great sailors!
p.s. um, and the shameful media are all silent! Andrea Mura, a sixty-year-old from Cagliari.
