C ellar, dark corner, a box submerged by other boxes, closed since 1990, more or less. Inside, many 45s, seven inches, well packed, released between 1960 and 1990, more or less, some excellently preserved, others decidedly worn, to use a euphemism. Some without covers, some in juke-box editions, some from limited editions.
I still remember, almost all of them, where they came from: some "from the family," others bought, others still "lent" by relatives and friends, sometimes unaware that they had, indeed, lent them.
