New York from the late eighties to the late millennium.
These two ineffable and sublime humans give us a few truly remarkable albums - I know the first three, the last nine.
They move in two directions… one more cowpunk, rock and roll and decidedly unhinged and primitive country (often with those Bluegrass from the Gibson Bros) and the other with a wonderfully twisted and murky Blues that we love.
Gun Club, Hank Williams, Oblivians… or blended depending on the case…
