First cry of Motorpsycho. Messy, raw, confused, out of tune. Three wandering Norwegian rockers in London head to the retrospective of Russ Meyer, whose aforementioned doctor Maier had released three of his films in '65: Mudhoney, Motorpsycho, and Faster, Pussycat (kill! kill!). Given that they had just formed a little band and were looking for a name, and since madonnas and fasterpussies were already taken, Bent (bass, guitar, vocals, a mind for writing songs) Snah (guitar, vocals, worthy and inseparable partner of the aforementioned bassist) and Killer (brr! so scary! drums) let the suggestion of Chance guide them and decided on Motorpsycho. I’m going to hear some great stuff for about a decade.
