Every now and then, a triple somersault into the DECAYING DECADE… for some particular band that's unknown or almost unbeknownst, which deserves much more than just a simple listen.
Their collection, featuring 45s and demos, posthumously released, quite posthumously, has minimally compensated for the negative karma they had at the time. On the level of Seeds, 13th Floor Elevators, Love, and Doors with their first singles released in Los Angeles during that sensational mid-DECAYING DECADE, they were unable, for various reasons, to continue as it would have been logical. One of many reasons: they rejected “Born To Be Wild” by Mars Bonfire due to doubts about the lyrics… that one by John Kay and the Steppenwolf, just to be clear…
