That's The Way I Feel Now A Tribute to Thelonious Monk 1984
Another one of those vinyls (complete with the "scrócchio" of the cellophane, with the various rituals connected to the first listening: by now you know me #maybe) that ignited my intelligence, which was dormant at that time due to various substances and alcohol. So much alcohol.
I don’t think I’ve posted it here, but it doesn’t matter if I did.
The respect with which these stratospheric musicians - not all purely Jazz - approach his art makes it clear that this man was not from this fucking planet.
Many Rock-oriented musicians I used to hang out with were quite annoyed at first when I forced them, under the threat of withdrawing my greeting, to listen to him. But then they listened to the original tracks and reevaluated their approach to musical knowledge.
A true musician "feels" when the stuff is good, regardless of who is peddling it. Ugh!
