Bad news from Ossola. In the early afternoon, an avalanche occurred in high Val Formazza between Rifugio Maria Luisa and Passo San Giacomo (places I know very well and have frequented for decades). Unfortunately, two people were involved and passed away; from what I've read in the local news, they should be from the area of Legnano (MI).
