After discovering that the riff of Smoke On The Water already existed in a Brazilian song, I’m now being told that even the tune of the Pink Panther was not written by Mancini, but by this unknown genius author who is completely unknown even in his own country. A true underdog, one of those who quietly write history while others put their name on it.
