'Tales From Monographic Oceans': a spontaneous journey in a stretch of sea, cutting through the isthmuses of some discographies (XTC B-sides, alternatives and more 55, 16) 'the B-side is important, even in music...': that is, it's too easy, with people like this, to glide through the official discography at 33 and 1/3. But here we want proofs 'e contrariis', we don't want easy bèl. Since, with these pieces written a bit left-handedly and either left out or at best placed at the back of singles, 12'' and various EPs, ANYONE (and I mean ANYONE: think of your favorite pop-rock author, and they're definitely in there as well) could have built a career far more than brilliant. This is pop... even if deliberately left in the corner. Desert Island (2001 Remaster)
