'Tales From Monographic Oceans': a spontaneous journey through a stretch of sea, cutting across the isthmuses of some discographies (XTC B-sides, alternatives and more 55, 3)
'the B-side is important, even in music...': in other words, it's too easy, with people like this, to go through the official discography at 33 and 1/3. But here we want 'e contrariis' proof, we don't want easy bèl.
Since, with these slightly obscure pieces that were left out or, at best, placed on the back of singles, 12'' and various EPs, ANYONE (and I mean ANYONE: think of your favorite pop-rock artist, and they fit in here too, for sure) could have built a career much more than brilliant. This is pop...even if deliberately left in the corner.
