'Tales From Monographic Oceans': a spontaneous journey in a stretch of sea, cutting across the isthmuses of some discographies (XTC B-sides, alternatives and more 55, 2)
'the B-side matters, even in music...': in other words, it's too easy, with people like this, to go through the official discography at 33 and 1/3. But here we want 'proof of contrariis', we definitely don't want any easy paths.
For with these pieces written a bit left-handed and either left out or at the very least placed on the back of singles, 12''s, and various EPs, ANYONE (and I mean ANYONE: think of your favorite pop-rock artist and they’ll fit right in, no doubt) would have built a career far more than bright. This is pop...even if deliberately left in a corner.
