I saw this video for the first time at Mister Fantasy. I was in my fourth year of middle school. I didn't know Springsteen and was struck by the song and the black-and-white video, which was in stark contrast to the few colorful videos circulating at the time. The next day, I rushed to the nearest record store asking for Nebraska, only to be met with the response, "SPING STIN?? Is that Chinese?"
