Two quick thoughts on Memento Mori, posting the last track. IMMEDIATE: that's the word that came to mind from the very first listen. The songs average around 4 minutes and a few seconds; Dave and Martin have created a truly solid work that flows effortlessly. All the songs immediately lodged themselves in my mind, and they'll stay there for a long time. The "stormy" ending of the song I’m pointing out wraps up the band's best work since Play the Angel in 2005, in my opinion. I know myself and can confidently say that Memento Mori, considering what a title they came up with reflecting on last year's tragic loss, is already a contender for one of the best albums of 2023...AMAZING...
