The (Descended slow as a diver / along the frozen mud puddles / floated in the mist, entered the sea / the first houses came to meet him / seemed like a coral barrier / he heard the laughter of vanished children / hammering of extinct blacksmiths / he noticed that in front of a skyscraper / all the doorbells had awakened / and together they were shouting “Max / what are you doing in the world of the dead?”)
