Born in Benin (1939-1996), he had 43 siblings; teacher, boxer, policeman, multi-instrumentalist, composer, smoker, friend of Mathieu Kerekou (president of the People's Revolutionary Party and later of Benin), Fela Kuti, and King Sunny Adé. Acid Jazz finally reissues the only LP recorded, 'Rhythm Revolution', from 1971: an incendiary garage-funk in the Yoruba language.
