Domitian during the Roman imperial period established that the Saturnalia celebrations were to be held between December 17 and 23. During these festivities, the social order was inverted, and a "princeps" was chosen by lot to whom all power was assigned; he was usually dressed in red, then came Coca-Cola and thought it a good idea to have him walk among the hallucinogenic mushrooms (even though here the legends intersect with those of Northern Europe).
