Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell is a good book about the formation of a band (the Utopia) in England during the 60s and 70s, featuring Dylan, Cohen, David Bowie, and other groups you surely know, with excursions in the USA. It's a pleasant and enlightening read. (in the best libraries for free). Released in 2021.
