Legendary with the Oblivians, immense with the Compulsive Gamblers, and super with this magnificent other creation of his. Here, Greg is more laid-back, less angry, delighting us with a mix of Garage-R&B-Country-Soul, with a touch of punk to keep us connected to the roots. Forget the first one; it’s too soft. From the second on, things get serious, although mostly with ballads that hover between paisley and the sixties, sometimes even close to Springsteen... but I don’t think the tickets for the Sovereign Sound cost 140 EUR...
