I set off at dawn, as per usual. No one around, cold, silence, and solitude. It was tougher than usual to overcome the 1500 meters in altitude that lead from my house to the summit of Moncucco, the mountain of my Domodossola. My ascent took about two hours, immersed in my thoughts that today often turned towards Mark Lanegan. Once at the top, with the sun just risen, I was, as always, captivated by the unparalleled view that can be admired from up there; with the East face of the Rosa keeping me company while tears streamed down my face.
