This is the release date of "Am Universum" by Amorphis. I wasn't even 12 years old and I was in the first year of middle school. I knew nothing about them; I was just starting to take my first timid steps into music thanks to the hits on MTV and AllMusic.

I never had the chance to dive deeper into Amorphis. At least not until now. I don't know their discography very well; it’s only in the last year and a half that I've started to get closer to their recent works. However, when I listen to their older songs (like this one in the link), it feels like I'm being transported back in time, to when I was a kid, juggling between home, friends, and school. On the street, alone or with company, day or night. Maybe it’s just a personal sensation of mine, just a coincidence. But every time I hear certain tracks of theirs, it seems like I can see distant images, faces, and colors from a time gone by.

A time that, after all, always comes back to life.
