This morning, for “Baroque Mondays: at the court of the Capish King,” we offer you the chance to listen to some organ compositions by the Dutch musician Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck (1562 – 1621), an important innovator of the early Baroque period, closely influenced by Albionese authors such as William Byrd, John Bull, and John Dowland, whose compositions preserved in the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book have already been featured in "Baroque Mondays."
