For "Baroque Mondays: at the court of the Capish King", we listen to what I believe is a true gem: the music that Henry Purcell (1659 – 1695) composed for the funeral of Queen Mary II Stuart, held on March 5, 1695, in London. A few months later, in November 1695, it accompanied Purcell's own funeral. The march was excellently rearranged by Wendy (Walter) Carlos on the Moog for the soundtrack of A Clockwork Orange in 1971.
