Cherokee Jimmie Bob Durham, the performer, has passed away. He was an American sculptor, essayist, poet, writer, and political activist. He was active in the States during the civil rights movements for African Americans and Native Americans in the '60s and '70s, serving on the central council of the American Indian Movement. (r.i.p. and may Manitou hold him in glory)
