Document is my R.E.M. album, the classic from "Isola Deserta." In the spring-summer of 1988, I discovered the band through the song I'm posting. I clearly remember going to the Discaio in Domodossola, the legendary Walter, ordering the cassette of the album in question. Good Walter didn't even know who these R.E.M. were and it took him a few months to find the musical support. So, we got to November 1988, and along with Document, he also managed to find me Green, which had just come out around that time. A hefty expense for the young, long-haired De...Marga... but what a pleasure for my then extremely efficient eardrums.
