Hamid Drake: Drum Solo while I prepare the drum kit, Drake lets me know that he wants to fill the bass drum with a cloth to achieve a less open sound. I find the cloth, I adjust it... but with every hit, the cloth shifts quite a bit. As we were brainstorming together on how to secure it, I step off stage and come back with a nice flat stone. I show him the stone and look at him as if to say "yeah, I know... I’m an idiot," but he just smiles at me and yells a beautiful "oh yeah man!!" and places the stone right in the middle of the drum shell. Well, yes... I put a stone in Hamid Drake's bass drum. If you don't know who he is... tough luck. #diariodiunbackliner
