Let’s start not with the first, in the sense of prime movers, but with the most important. Because this has undoubtedly been the Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare: the most important group in the history of Neapolitan popular (or shall we call it folk) music.
A very long story, which began in 1967 with a young boy who attended a show of the ILVA after-work club with his school, where three brothers performed among others...
It's a story of encounters and intertwining stories and experiences, of fortunate events, and of a city that is bubbling over.
