“The Science Fiction Kiosk” Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, to the kiosk of Sci-Fi, to savor curious books! Just a taste. If you like, you can read it all at your leisure, or not! How could you not? The search has been long and demanding, but finally, the excellent Italian novel “Korolev” by P. Aresi has arrived. The father of Russian astronautics, Sergej Pavlovič Korolëv, designed the Vostok, the Voshkord, and the N1 rocket. A character shrouded in state secrecy, he couldn’t be called by name, only by the title Chief Designer. He didn’t simply disappear; much more is concealed, as only the alternative worlds of Sci-Fi can realize. The reading is smooth and enjoyable, endowed with the right blend of mystery, exploration, and solitude. “Korolev noticed that the minister was variably addressing him informally or formally. He said: - We need young designers. Especially in the electronic field. The Americans are ahead in this. - Alright. - And we need to look beyond. - Beyond? - The security of the Soviet Union, but also beyond. Space.” And this is just the beginning... we will travel far beyond our imagination. So long.
