"Once Zhuangzi dreamed he was a butterfly, a fluttering butterfly flapping its wings around, happy with itself and doing as it pleased. It did not know it was Zhuangzi. Suddenly it woke up and there it was, solid and without a doubt, Zhuangzi. But he did not know if he was Zhuangzi who had dreamed of being a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming of being Zhuangzi. There must be differences between Zhuangzi and a butterfly! This is called the Transformation of Things."
