In this pleasant little section, Uncle Dislo will guide you by the hand, but at a distance (only DeBaserians with very long arms, please...) through the much-traversed discography of the Four in search of the influences of "black" music that often color it and the covers of songs by U.S. black artists, discovering, for example, their fondness for the repertoire of female black vocal groups. Sometimes we will include original tracks but performed with decidedly black techniques, vocal ones especially, but also instrumental. Enough with the preliminaries, so, let’s continue......
And who would have thought that the "blackest" among the Four would be McCartney? But how, the one from Yesterday and Obladi Oblada? Him, him, with the attitude and the connection to the most black song ever and the sandpaper voice that inspired admiration from Otis and Marvin, for goodness’ sake...
