HOW TO RUIN A CAREER, ANGLOPHONE SECTION, vol. 5: Santana

(Derogation from the usual review of Italian talents, groups, or solo artists. This time we turn to the English-speaking world; shall we say it or not that not only in the Boot are there music careers being disgracefully and undignifiedly completed that once paved the way for all?)

Dear friends, welcome to the eleventh installment of a delightful little column that I must warn you should be taken in minimal doses and on an empty stomach. Inspired by excellent DeBaserian enthusiasts who occasionally induce themselves to vomit, here I am proposing a few selected listens regarding the disgusting side of the productions of some groups or solo anglo artists who have truly made History in Music, once offering quality music with potential international appeal, only to later fall into the mire of a low-quality discography that renders them, for the most part, unrecognizable to the ears of their former fans.
Let the foul trumpets blow, come on...

There was a moment in the history of international music when saying "Santana" equated to "Promises never kept" or, in some local dialects of the Secoya, even to "Sold Out Dirty Trick."
But let's not exaggerate, even though Carletto has done more than his namesake in France. Rather, let's search through the most recondite and fetid proofs of his misdeeds.
