Vanilla Fudge - The Spell That Comes After (2006 Remaster) Renaissance is the perfect album by Vanilla (along with their debut) featuring proto hardprog, dark psych, and bursts of Hammond that only Brian Auger could have imagined. A comment on the other albums: The beat goes on is completely unnecessary, except for the masterful reworking of Fur Elise, Near the beginning is saved by the sublime Some velvet morning, and Rock and roll is too constrained by mindless hard funky clutter.
