If there’s one wonderful thing about music and the arts in general, it's that beyond preparation (whether technical, theoretical, or knowledge-based), art is created to evoke emotions in the listener. Emotions are subjective and personal; therefore, dismissing everything we don't like as worthless is downright ignorant. At this very moment, there are voices I can't stand, and when I happen to hear them, I stop or change them. These are the voices of Robert Wyatt, John Cale, and Brian Eno from the period of '73 to '75. They fill me with a tremendous anguish. On the other hand, when I listen to the voice of Mark Hollis from Talk Talk, I find peace within myself. I Believe in You (1997 Remaster)
