I like to remember Ennio Morricone in his least popular aspect, in that unlikely collective of Italian artists who looked too little rock to be believable. Yet, in that little venue they frequented, he, Evangelisti, Macchi, something beautiful happened. Even something cool, modern. Morricone, even in death, will not be honored by the academies but by the people. And that was his mission. And if today you find some academic who spends a couple of words on him, call him a hypocrite. They have always opposed him and his "film music." Instead, Ennio Morricone has passed away: one of the greatest Italian composers of the twentieth century. The Group - Kumalo
