Outsider music: classics of American classical music (45) - William Grant Still - Symphony No. 2 (1937) Symphony No.2 in G minor "Song of a New Race" - William Grant Still Perhaps the most famous Black composer of the first half of the 20th century, certainly the one who best managed to combine neo-romanticism and jazz. Some of his works, like the first symphony that I had already posted, are still performed regularly in the States.
