The Doors - Touch Me (Live) TSP50 - A fabulous and surreal video. The band appeared on the "Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" on December 4, 1968, with Jim beautifully faded and possessing an amazing crooner voice. It's incredible to see him still so fit physically, just a few months later he was totally different. Krieger has a black eye (fights with Jim and some racist conservatives against longhairs... Jim came out unscathed... it seems). For me, it's a stunning song, the first saxophone in a rock piece with Curtis Amy phenomenal in his solo. Really a beautiful beautiful track, a hymn to joy... which was already gone... but that's another story.
