The incredible world of audiophile records. (4) Okay, I'll stop here.... A few words, to wrap up, about the "loudness war." The "loudness war" is "the trend in the music industry to record, produce, and distribute music, year after year, at progressively higher volume levels, to create a sound that surpasses the volume of competitors and recordings from the previous year" (Wikipedia). This incredibly stupid thing of raising volumes destroys the dynamics of recorded music and flattens the sound of all instruments, along with a whole range of other harmful effects, not least of which is pronounced "listening fatigue." Why do they do it? Because the fools are always on the rise (miiiiii listen how awesome this ciddì is!), because they don't give a crap about the music and forget that they make a living from it, because they are a bunch of idiots (record labels, DJs, musicians, etc. etc.). Fortunately, there are those who rebel against this. Like Uncle Nello (talking about rebels...) who has been fighting against music pushers in the name of reproduction quality for years. Uncle Nello is great! Neil Young - Angry World (Official Music Video)
