Led Zeppelin - Coda - Wearing and Tearing
Debaserian wreckers... this track tells us what the album after ITTOD would have sounded like... a bomb!
“We made that song with the intention of saying: okay, we're going to be old dinosaurs and boring farts... here, take a bit of this! (Rabble, I add!). The track was supposed to be released as a single simultaneously with the Knebworth concerts... it would have been the answer to punk... “let's see who's more badass, aggressive, and powerful (mob, I add)”...
Everything got postponed; it was supposed to be part of the setlist for the already scheduled autumn 1980 tour... but on September 25, John left us all. Live, it would have swept their audience away, that's for sure... (12)

Album - 19 november 1982

The 1980 for rock is certainly one of those numbers to forget (a bit like 1970 with the deaths of Hendrix and Joplin), since it appears on the tombs of famous music stars to mark the passing of Bon Scott (February 19), Ian Curtis (May 18), John Lennon (December 8)… more
