April 5th, a truly cursed date in Seattle, yesterday Shawn Smith passed away, the singer of Brad (Stone Gossard's side project), Satchel, and Pigeonhead. A velvet voice and soul, worthy of the great Richard Manuel. He profoundly marked the best soul-grunge of the 90s. He was also featured on "Black Soul" by the Afghan Whigs.
