From the very beginning, I sensed that this was a talent worth following.
His various releases, so different as to catch my attention, have followed a trajectory, roughly from Barrett to the soundtracks of unknown psychedelic films, always interesting, without crossing the line into bad taste or the obvious.
This new work gave me a headache, symptoms of bipolarity or simply the feeling of not understanding the music. Having good taste, knowing but not understanding. Not understanding is the worst of options.
Finally, I doubt my own tastes; I know and have convinced myself of the direction of this work, which, if looked at closely, is a slow landscape of the spirit that animated previous steps. No one asks for understanding, because we are not in front of a jury that unequivocally confirms that you haven’t understood. Listen freely to this soundtrack that tells the story of a musician. Listen and listen again without prejudice; if you still don’t like it… that’s a big problem. If Agnelli likes it and you don't, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.
