There was a time when I had a real obsession with the Verve. To my memory, "Urban Hymns" was the first album I ever bought, definitely one of the top 3. I listened to it for years until I knew it by heart, and then I went back to discover "A Storm in Heaven," their little shoegaze wonder. Tonight, while rearranging my records, I pulled it out again, and after all these years, the magic is still the same. I have one or two bands that I regret not having seen live: one of them is them.
