#ONTHESHELF °°°° Amazing Blondel Fantasia Lindum Although I consider myself a connoisseur of English folk in its many tentacled forms, this record makes me uneasy. The cover is quite a statement, and the music is a form of folk, I suppose (I keep pretending) very much in line with the music played at court, a court with elephant feet, long hair, tiny glasses, and a few spliffs. We’re talking about folk prog (I continue to pretend to know) strange in its normality if only the pendulum on the wall had stopped a few centuries ago. Evocative, and after the first approach, I find it very interesting in its phrases of flutes, harmonium, oboe, mellotron, percussion, and sweet vocals. A nice stroll through "The Court of His Highness Pirulin De Pirulan."
