10 Great Jewish Musicians. 2) Irving Berlin Puttin' on the Ritz! - Movie Scene "But they're all Jews here! Jews and/or faggots" (Mirko Tremaglia). A series of listens dedicated to our little friend @[Mark76]

Irving didn’t think he could fall in love again after the death of his Dorothy. Then he met Ellin. But Ellin's father was the very wealthy Clarence Mackay. Now, Clarence certainly didn't look kindly on the idea of his Ellin marrying a Jew (and a musician, to boot); he didn’t know that this Russian Jew had reinvented American Christmas... However, since Ellin was not going to change her mind, he disinherited her. So Irving gifted her the rights to "Always," one of his most performed songs, and Ellin never had to regret her daddy's money.
